Fresh off the release of their heavyweight Helion EP for Eatbrain, the newly formed Synergy (Segment and Concept Vision) man the decks and drop this untouchable hour-long mix through the darkest bowels of the universe and back. Centered on a dystopian framework that wastes no time in igniting a firestorm of activity in your frontal cortex, the techno-tinged blast through the hottest cuts in the Synergy vaults will transport you to the farthest reaches of time and space.
Speaking of which, if you haven’t checked Synergy’s Helion EP yet then grab yours here and hold tight as this one is sure to take you for an equally wild and cinematic ride. As Eatbrain continues to absolutely barrel their way through the dancefloor, it’s obvious they want to kick in the afterburners for their first release of 2017 by tapping Synergy to follow-up with a successor to last year’s Mammoth EP. If neuro destruction is your thing, prepare for lift-off as the chest-rattling bottom end sliced by razor-sharp percussion makes for an aggressive attack on the senses. From the aptly titled “Warrior Sound,” featuring Miss Trouble’s vocals riding atop a half-step groove, to the 2-step punch of “Helion” or the lurching shiver of “Scarecrow,” there’s something for everyone as the dropkick rinse-out in the form of “Arkana and “Destroyer” are designed for maximum dancefloor impact.
The EP makes an appearance on the mix below, but as with all epic DJ sessions, each tune merges into the weaponized onslaught of dark tech-funk for a dome-cracking narrative guaranteed to either have you drooling on your keyboard or straight up pounding the cubicle walls begging for more.
