[Q&A] EH!DE Looks to the Stars

UK-Based NSD: Black Label is known to push some of the best bass music in the scene, and their latest starboy to take note of is none other than the Seville native known as EH!DE. With his latest project, the young producer gives listeners a glimpse into his galactic mind on the aptly titled Spaceships EP. (Out now—get yours here!) The four-track EP showcases all new tracks, each pushing the limits of the producer’s sound with two massive collaborations with NSD label mates Spag Heddy and Krimer rounding things out proper.

Though the producer is a new addition to the NSD: Black Label crew, he is no stranger to bass music, with releases on big name labels like Buygore, Firepower, and Rottun Records. Team Bassrush caught up with EH!DE to chat about his Black Label debut, his overall vision for the EP, and all the love he has for his fans.

Congrats on releasing with NSD: Black Label! Tell us a little bit about this EP.
Thank you so much! NSD is a label I have always wanted to be on, so I’m very proud to achieve that goal. I have worked on this EP for the past few months, trying out new production techniques, and I’m really happy with the result. I even got to work with some of my good friends on some of the tracks, so that was dope as well.

This is easily some of your most impressive work to date. What are you most excited to share with your fans?
I’m just glad to get my music out to my fans that support me; I can’t thank them enough for it. Much love!

You have two massive collabs on the project with some fellow label mates. How did those come about?
I’ve known Spag Heddy for years and we have always supported each other’s music, so it was only proper that we collabed for my NSD debut project. We’ve actually worked together about three times on other tracks, so it really just came together organically. As for Krimer, I met him in Australia a few months ago and we decided to collab on “Take That” for one of his EPs and it came out awesome! He’s really fun to work with, so “Fock It” came together really easily as well.

What kind of feedback have you gotten on the EP?
It’s been super positive. We just hit the top two in just three days on the top ten releases on Beatport, so I’m super happy with the feedback so far.

You’re about to embark on an Australian tour next month! Are you prepared to go down under?
The most exciting part of being a producer and DJ is when you play your own tracks for your fans—that’s is why I make music. I have a feeling Aussies are going to go hard to these tracks, so I’m super stoked for the tour.

Any special shout-outs before we go?
Thanks to Spag Heddy and Krimer for joining me on me EP, I love them. Special thanks to the NSD team, they are awesome. Last but not least, thanks to all the people who support the EP and all of my music so far—I love you all!
