The third installment of the aptly titled RIOT EP series from RAM records arrives with perhaps its heaviest lineup to date.
Designed to showcase top-notch drum and bass artists from across the globe, each EP in the series features a mix of artists being taken under the wing of the legendary Ram family of imprints. With an eye towards developing and elevating the next generation of artists tapped to lead the imprint into the next thirty years of existence, there is always a great deal of anticipation as each EP drops.
With Airglo’s “Night at the Bald Mountain” bringing on the sizzle while Loxy and Quartz bring on those OG vibes with “Attention Seeker” alongside Buggy’s apocalyptic “Dystopia,” it’s the debut appearances from LeStR on “Trippy” and Acuna and Bennie on “Because You” that captivate.
In particular, it’s Acuna and Bennie’s “Because You” that we’re premiering today that hits all the right spots for a proper bassline rinse with just the right dose of exquisite vocals from Collette Warren to lift things into the stratosphere.
