S.P.Y’s DARKMTTR imprint welcomes the Brazilian duo Alibi to the family with a stunning four-tracker that channels the dreamy, space-infused vibe that the label is best known for.
From the title track’s sweeping pads and amen-driven groove all the way to bits like “It Could Be” and “Soundsystem” that steamroll their way through with haunted mysticism as the core, it’s obvious that Alibi are in top form.
Still, while every track on the Another Chance EP hits, when we stumbled across the razor-toothed dark-stepping “Ruthless” we knew we had to snatch it up and offer it to the Bassrush masses as a premiere.
