Blackout Ignites Another Evolution
Blackout Ignites Another Evolution

Black Sun Empire continue to flex their curating abilities as they turn in another epic Evolutions compilation EP, featuring the very best the next generation has to offer. The third outing in the series features the likes of Proxima, Gydra, Merikan, Splash Heads, the Clamps, and Cod3x, and all seem determined to snap necks and melt faces.

Proxima opens up the proceedings with the haunting atmospheres of “Closely” that merely hints at the sci-fi horror about to unfold. Crafting an intro that builds the tension the breaking point, when this one twists and dumps straight into the drop, there’s no preparing for the half-time brain-rattler that comes stomping through. Gydra steps up with his own brand of Russian neurofunk illness as “Indoor Space” kicks in the afterburners and drops one for those who like kick-starting mosh pits on the floor.

In a similar vein, Merikan’s “End of the Line” unleashes the apocalyptic fervor as the curb-stomping beats and mid-range stabs establish this new-school producer as one to watch. The Splash Heads are another crew on the come-up as the Serbian duo lock horns with the France’s own the Clamps on “Useless” and bring the hardcore pressure before Cod3x rams it all home with the sweeping roller known as “Sublimation.”

It’s a massive look from the Blackout Music crew once again so be sure to strap yourself in for a wild ride to the future and back and snatch up your own here.
