Continuing to widen the gap between themselves and any other run-of-the-mill 140 BPM producers, Gentleman’s Club fam Coffi and 50 Carrot have just debuted a three-track EP titled Nitty Gritty. For those not familiar, Coffi and 50 Carrot have been on the forefront of swamp-styled dubstep, sprinkling in flavors of hip-hop and trap for an instant explosion on the floor. This latest work showcases their continually evolving sound. Coffi goes in with “Blade Slaggin,” 50 provides “Thoties,” a sleazy, rhythmic hurricane, and the two go in on title track “Nitty Gritty.” Like true gentlemen, they are allowing fans to name their price for the beats directly from bandcamp.
