After dropping jaws on his hip-hop and jungle tinged ‘Paradise’ EP released only a few short months ago, the inimitable Stray once again finds himself the center of attention as Machinedrum and the Exit Records bossman dBridge himself turn in a pair of mind-melting remixes of their favorite cuts off the EP.
dBridge takes on the title track and pushes things into deep and dirty 85 / 170 territory with his twitchy “glitch-slap edit” before Machinedrum peels back the layers and connects the dots between the the dank shadows of Chicago, Detroit and London on “Movements.” It’s a polyrhythmic juke and footwork influenced revisioning that brings the downbeat original to life with just enough bottom end to keep the walls rumbling and the dancefloor shuffling.
It’s another untouchable release from the always essential Exit Records family. Out now so download your copy here and prepare for the head-twist!
