As the highly anticipated Northern Lights remix project from Zeds Dead nears its full release date this Friday, June 9, the first cut off the compilation hits the airwaves from none other than Delta Heavy. No stranger to the dubstep and drum & bass side of the equation, Delta Heavy turn “Lights Out” into a proper mash-up of both ends of the bass genre with inimitable results.
From the melodic and uplifting vibrations that ease us into things to the festival-sized drop sure to have those hands up, it’s the drum & bass darkness lingering around the edges that is sure to have all the heads bum-rushing the stage. With the celestial vocals of Atlas bringing on the goosebumps throughout, it’s the dark growls and breakbeat sprinkles that make this one a bona fide dancefloor killer.
With the full release featuring remixes from the likes of Bear Grillz, DNMO, Auralphonic, Ganja White Night, CRi, UFO Project, and the Zeds Dead themselves, it’s obvious that there’s going to be something for everybody no matter what bpm your heart beats at so be sure to lock yours in via the Deadbeats imprint this Friday and while you’re at it, make sure you and the crew have already locked in your tickets for our first annual Bassrush Weekender at the end of the month as Delta Heavy is set to crush (tix and more details here).
