After a massive run in 2017, North London duo Deuce & Charger return with a debut on Mayan Audio that is some of their best work to date. Drawing upon a classically trained background and able to hold it down as a live act just as powerfully as they can in the studio, Deuce & Charger have caught the attention of imprints ranging everywhere from Viper to Liquicity with good reason.
Check their latest for Mayan Audio that we’re premiering below. While the dark and heavy “Supercollider” brings on a proper sci-fi flex for the dancefloor, it’s this thundering hands-in-the-air anthem known as “Avalanche” that has our attention.
Easing us into things with a seductive sweep of pads and ethereal vocals, the mountainous dreamscape slowly comes to life before the slow burn at the core ignites the flame that brings it all down in a chest-rattling wall of bass. As the synth-driven groove slowly crawls from the heart of the destruction, the drums come pounding in and cascade their way to a crescendo that doesn’t let up until the second drop.
Epic vibes that are due to hit on February 23 so keep your eyes and ears on the lookout for this one!
