Two years on from his Synthesis LP, the legendary bad mon Digital returns to his roots with Total Control, an epic album project that bridges the past, present and future. While the album is primarily a solo affair, there are some sweet collaborations with heavyhitters like Spirit, John B, Villem, and Nomine, all of who come correct in their resurrection of that classic warehouse sound that originally put Digital on the map back in the day.
From the depths of breakbeat-driven jungle to haunting dubbed-out vocals and straight up head-crackers like “Total Control” that we’re premiering below, it’s obvious that Digital is giving hardcore ravers fuel for the long summer nights ahead and beyond. As with all Digital productions, the conversation between the top and bottom end of the tune has a timeless quality to it that echoes the sound system culture from which it was spawned, as well as a genetic structure that is straight up jungle at its very best.
