Shortly after dropping their metal-dubstep track “Kneel Before Me” with Asking Alexandria and Crankdat, SLANDER returns with another bass-heavy single, “You Don’t Even Know Me,” joined with up-and-coming Israeli duo, RIOT. After this latest release, Slander has proven that they are capable of so much more than a singular genre, creating tracks such as “Happy Now,” “Move Back” with WAVEDASH, and “Slow Motion” with Bret James.
Although RIOT is still young in the scene, they’ve been blazing their own trails by reaching Beatport’s #1 in the dubstep, hip-hop and glitch charts six times. They’ve played with renowned DJs and producers like Infected Mushroom, Borgore, Afrojack, Nicky Romero, Carnage and more, and recently curated their own festival brand, Riot Festival.
The vocal bass ballad is built upon cinematic melodies that plunge into a powerful drop with smooth yet reverberating basslines. “You Don’t Even Know Me,” which is out now on Monstercat, feels slightly melancholy as the production is complemented by emotive vocals, a touch that turns the track from a dancefloor hit into a cathartic club experience. RIOT gives their signature touch of progressive melodies and heavy basslines on the track, giving it that perfect energy to create an immediate impression and memory to last a lifetime for listeners. With the song’s fresh and transforming sound, Slander and RIOT have definitely created a timeless fan favorite.
