The untouchable sounds of Effin return to center stage as his highly-anticipated Distress EP drops today.

Featuring Effin in proper flex-mode, the EP serves as a sampler platter of the boundary-pushing power that the Nashville native is capable of conjuring up in the lab. From classic dubstep vibes to chill/trap mode all the way to bass house fueled burners, Effin proves that he knows how to fuck shit up on the dancefloor no matter the vibe. While most of you will be heading straight to that Oddprophet collab to see how that sounds (spoiler alert: it’s sick af), we thought we’d hit you with another one of our favorite cuts off the project, the aptly titled “Damsel.”

Dripping with melancholic vibes right from the get go, the goosebump-inducing vocal intro quickly gives way to a wall-rattling blast of pain. The dark edges of the tune give it just enough of a proper bite to keep even the most battle-hardened heads locked in to the groove before Effin flips the script and swerves into 4/4 territory with a bass house groove that unfolds so smoothly that we can’t help but putting this tune on repeat and listening over and over again.

A massive release from Effin that’s out now via Never Say Die so lock your copy of this one in here.
