Bad Taste Recordings dives deep into those late-summer vibes with an epic six-track EP aptly titled Fluid. Featuring a wide range of artists pushing into the melodic end of the dancefloor, label boss Vegas says that the project offers up a space for artists to explore the “soft melodic side of liquid” while drawing upon the ethos of “what was known as ‘intelligent’’ and of course, the “complexity of neurofunk.”
With label stalwarts and fresh faces alike, artists on the project include Zombie Cats, Minor Rain, Drumsik, Bohemian, and PLTX, all of who are determined to bring on the dancefloor hypnotism as only they can do.
One of the standouts on the EP is Ephyum’s “Ice Cave.” Destined to bring on the goosebumps, the crisp exoticism that opens the tune takes its time in building towards a cinematic spiral that gives way to an adrenaline-fueled journey through the otherworldly headspace that the tune conjures. With just enough filth sprinkled in to keep it grounded, the electrifying vision of the cut makes for an ideal introduction to the rest of the Fluid project.
This one drops exactly a week from today so keep your eyes on the sky and the Bad Taste socials for more details.
