Since his arrival to massive EU festivals a few short years ago, youngblood Danger has thrived, capturing the ears of many who are down with the 20 year-old Belgian’s dancefloor sound. Steadily rising through the ranks with numerous free downloads and releases on burgeoning D&B record labels like Spectre Audio, Gun, Smokin’ Riddims, and Switch, Danger has landed his latest EP, Extinction, on NYC’s own Digital Terror Records.
Featuring four refreshing offerings that exemplify the quirky, cutting-edge drum & bass that Danger is known for, the title track is the perfect introduction to the level of filth he’s bringing to the fore. Boasting an infectious, carefree melody and addictive basslines, “Extinction” gives way to something for the underground rave crew with “About You.” Carrying the same inventive creativity, the tune is centered on a series of sharp modulated synths that call for speaker and eardrum reinforcement.
Two collabs are also featured on the EP, including “Empty Space” with Kanine, a tune that builds on the theme of minimal, new-school jump-up vibes laced with funky, mid-range synths. “Turbulence,” with fellow up-and-comer Nightfang, goes on to close out this epic EP with a full-on 4am warehouse banger.
To get your hands on Danger’s searing Extinction EP, keep it locked here as this one drops Friday from the Digital Terror crew.
