The Los Angeles-based Dack Janiels and the rest of the 40oz Cult crew kick off the New Year with a brand new compilation that they are giving away for free! Featuring a grip of heavy new heaters, 40oz. Cult Volume 2 showcases the crew’s hard and diverse sounds.
Kicking the compilation off on a high note, Dack Janiels and AB The Thief conspire on “Six Five Oh.” Starting off mellow, the track speeds up with Dack’s signature machine gun percussion and growls intertwined effortlessly with AB’s trappy beats, making for a heavy, speaker-breaking bass drop that’s sure to leave you hungry for more. Next, Dack collabs with K.Ro on “Sound Like,” where a trap-inspired bassline drops into some chunky 808s to keep it gangsta.
Switching up the vibes, Subject 31 swoops in with “Blue Quill” and delivers another effortless marriage of deep beats and heavy head-banging basslines the masses expect from the 40oz crew! BOARCROCK steps up next to deliver his remix of “South Central,” hitting it hard with a revived trap feel that’ll get those elbows knockin’ before Dack and Wednesday mellow things out with the atmospheric “Ókubi.” Finishing things off, HAMi and Dack swoop in with their stuttering beats that smoothly fluctuate with pulverizing bass on “Ballin’.”
From start to finish, this entire EP is sure to wreck your speakers and keep all you bassheads satisfied. Looks like 2016 is off to a good start for the 40oz Cult. Download your free copy of the compilation here!
