Loadstar deliver another epic, hands-in-the-air anthem in the form of their aptly titled “Keeping Me High.” The result of a collaboration with the Glasgow-based synth-pop band known as Prides, the tune brings on the goosebumps with an ethereal intro that features the emotive vocals of lead singer Stewart Brock before cutting loose with Loadstar’s signature sound.
Luscious synths and an uplifting melody pull you in as Stewart’s lyrics unfold, but it’s not until the drop hits and the tune explodes with a crushing bassline and skittering, breakbeat-driven workout that the tune is elevated to its full potential. It’s definitely geared to the crossover crew but don’t sleep on the power that this one is sure to unleash on dancefloors all around the globe come New Year’s Eve.
