Ever since the duo Cheltenham duo known as Annix signed on with the Playaz crew back in 2012, they have done nothing but drop jaws with each and every release. From straight-up rabid floor-bangers to hypnotic rollers and minimalist meditations on percussive grooves, Konichi and Decimal Bass have crafted a discography that ranks up there with the OG legends.
To celebrate the ongoing success of the duo as well as (we hope) giving the duo some time to knock out an LP in the coming year, Playaz gathered up a heavyweight squad to give some of our favorite Annix cuts the remix treatment. Whether it’s the tech-driven filth that Neonlight flips “Axshun” into or the untethered jump-up weaponry that Guv delivers on his re-lick of “Crash,” Playaz ensures that these cuts will have the crowds heaving across the board. Don’t worry, for all the underground crew hoping to smash it hard right off the bat, Playaz has Majistrate dropping an anabolic remix of “England” before Ozma closes it out with a chest-rattling “Slaughtered” remix featuring the Ragga Twins.
It’s a massive EP that not only flexes on all fronts for the dancefloor but stands as a testament to the continued influence of Annix in the scene. This one’s out today so snatch and grab your copy here.
