The ever-impressive Jayline returns to Liondub International with a heavyweight five-track EP that features some of his best work to date. Titled The Lion & The Unicorn after the two lead tracks on the EP, the name also hints at the jaw-dropping ways in which Jayline is able to thread the line between vibes and drum and bass subgenres, all while keeping things bubbling for the dancefloor.
One of our favorite cuts from the EP is “The Unicorn” and we’re stoked to be able to offer up an sneak peek at what Jayline is offering up on the entire project. Things pop off with a playful intro centered on a circus-like atmosphere swerving into psychedelic territory that brings on the giggles before a vocal monologue leads us on a guided meditation into transforming into a full-on third-eye enhanced unicorn. Just when you think you’ve dipped into mystic territory Jayline is quick to hammer it all home with that untouchable dancefloor flex that only he can do. From the shivering top-end to the sucker-punch kick on the bottom, that layers all come together with a sizzling hustle sure to blow the doors off the dancefloor all summer long.
