JOOL Aims for Destruction on ‘Warrior’ EP

Hailing from Cairo, Egypt, JOOL joins the Ōdio Records roster with the all-original, aptly titled Warrior EP. With an emphasis on all things heavy on this four-track EP, it’s clear JOOL is a force to be reckoned with.

Opening the project on a strong note, “Golden Ring” immediately intrigues listeners with an intro heavy with Middle Eastern-inspired sounds before switching gears and hitting with an obliterating bass drop that hints at what’s to come. Next up, “Black Horse” follows suit with yet another intriguing intro that brings on the eerie vibes while hinting to proceed with caution just before the glitchy drop takes hold and flexes with a bone chilling bassline.

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any heavier, the title track breaks on through and brings the heat with a high-energy bassline drizzled with merciless synths before the breakdown comes in for the kill. Topping off the project, “Goal” steps up to show exactly what JOOL is made of, and boy you won’t know what hit you when the sinister bassline takes hold and pulls you through two epic bass drops.
