JOOL Resurfaces with ‘War’ EP

The budding bass producer known as JOOL returns to Ōdio Records with the all-original War EP project. Just like his previous EP with the UK-based imprint, the War EP focuses on all things heavy and packs a solid punch from start to finish.

Opening the project with a sinister introduction, “Harozh” sets the tone of terror right from the get go. Listeners are met with a full sensory overload, featuring a mech-influenced drop that keeps you on your toes before a collaboration with Hu$h makes its mark with a gut wrenching bassline paired with hypnotizing vocals for “Quartz”. Next up, “Varanasi” comes in clutch with a beautiful violin riff that leads things right to the danger zone that is an unrelenting glitchy bass drop that surfaces twice to set the record straight.

Just when things seem as if they couldn’t get any heaver, “Mineral” steps up to the plate and offers up a slower bassline that eases into the oblivion while flexing with a trap-inspired beat that’ll pop those elbows. Finishing off the EP on the right foot, the title track “War” moves in with an ominous introduction that’s sure to pique some curiosity right away. Just then, a crunchy bassline surfaces and takes hold before blasting you through a wild ride of bass-heavy goodness before leaving you in a dizzy haze.

JOOL’s War EP is out now on Ōdio Records so make sure to snag your copy here and certainly keep your ears locked on JOOL, as he’s quickly proving to be a force to be reckoned with!
