L 33 Taps a Heavyweight Squad to remix ‘Karate’

As if L 33’s Karate LP project wasn’t enough, the Eatbrain family returns for round two with a heavyweight crew of battle-hardened tech-warriors ready to bring their absolute best to a re-visioning of the already epic album. Taking on four of the meatiest cuts from the album, the remix squad features Prolix, Joe Ford, Synergy, and Neonlight swooping in to deliver some weaponized beats in the very best sense of the word.

First up is Prolix, who wastes no time busting out the rusty chains on the already immense “Clublife.” Smashing and crushing his way to the heart of the beast proper, by the time Prolix is done, this bad beast emerges from the nether realms with an even more aggressive bite. “Drop It Down Low” gets the Joe Ford treatment as the original gets twisted into a strychnine-laced synthetic virus that mainlines straight to the dome for a synapse-twisting journey.

Neonlight take on the title track and refuse to back down in the face of what was already a bone-crushing affair. Moving with a level of precision and technical prowess, the duo get right to it, chopping and re-stitching the original into a lurching, stutter-punch killer sure to have the crew heaving at the rails. Closing things out, Synergy drop jaws with their reworking of “Razor Blade.” Taking on the twisted original, the final tune of the EP gets down and dirty, emerging out of the shadows like a revenant twin back from the dead.

This one’s out now exclusively on Beatport so snatch your copy here. Full release hits the rest of the world on March 13 so keep yours eyes and ears peeled for more from L33 and the Eatbrain family!
