Best known to OG heads as one of the founding members of The Prodigy, Leeroy Thornhill continues to explore the bass-driven multi-genre world of dance music with an inimitable style that has taken him from chart-topping solo ventures and remixes for the likes of Dr. Doom (Kool Keith), The Dub Pistols, and Darren Emerson, all the way to the multi-genre collaborative production outfit he created with German producer/DJ Marten Hørger called Smash HIFI.

Still, for drum and bass heads in particular, it’s been his releases on The Prototypes ever-essential Get Hype Records that have been smashing up clubs and turning heads. With the dust still settling on his massive five-track EP earlier this year on the label, Leeroy returns to center stage with a sizzling single in the form of “The Calling” and “Vibrations” with equally impressive remixes from the likes of Bladerunner, Night Shift and Shades of Rhythm.

While the original cuts and remixes are all worthy of shaking your ass to, it’s this Bladerunner remix of “The Calling” that we’re premiering today that’s sure to drop some jaws and churn some guts when you hear it out on a big rig. Putting an extra dose of his signature heavyweight bass in all the right places, the rolling vibes of Bladerunner’s remix are sure to kick in the afterburners and get you and the squad ready to start the weekend off proper.

The full EP drops tomorrow via Get Hype Records so lock yours in here and check this exclusive Bassrush premiere of one of our favorite cuts off the release.
