Rising high in the dance charts is the hit “House of Cards” (feat. Adam Wright) by Atlanta’s Legion and Logam. Junglists have their ears on this on Program Records track, as well as the b-side, “Solace,” another new guitar and percussion-based release which is now being played on Beatport. AK1200 shared his support:
“So proud to see these guys finally get the attention they deserve. They have been at it for a long while, and have been a huge participating factor in the growth of drum & bass here in the US. They are always out supporting the sounds and fellow artists and DJs alike, and some of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Their tunes keep getting better and better, and I cannot wait to see what’s coming next.”
“There was no real direction stylistically other than quality production with a musical structure, something more or less ‘timeless,’” Hunter (Legion) Lee said of the release. “We wanted to combine mainstream US pop sounds with underground UK rhythms; something slightly different on offer than the currently oversaturated market of tech bangers that are easily disposed of in a week’s time.”
A recent, 60-minute RAM Records mix, featuring a selection of the duo’s newer and older material, is on BBC Radio 1xtra. This session also includes top D&B acts Delta Heavy, Sub Focus, Prototypes, Stealth, Spektrum, Ed Rush & Optical and more.
“What I love about ‘House of Cards’ is that not only is it our first track together, but it’s really just the result of two artists seriously vibing together,” Griffin (Logam) said about the synergy with his partner.
