Unfolding like a video game narrative—where we’re being led into the prehistoric swamplands of an ancient world by a cheeky British explorer—the tension is high right from the get-go as the cinematic atmosphere sucks us in before the Jurassic creatures start moving in for the kill. While the presence of something dark can be felt swirling around the edges, it isn’t until those razor-tipped claws come out and that mid-range screech drops on top of a stomping beat that we know we’re in for a world of hurt.
Pulling up at the second breakdown for a quick breath before dumping us back into the darkness, the entire NSD: Black Label crew will no doubt be rinsing this one out all summer long as it’s guaranteed to have the heads bouncing off the walls.
