After teaming up with Atlanta’s Gunna for “Cash Cow” about a month ago, NGHTMRE remains in the headlines with the VIP of the track in collaboration with BLVK JVCK. After hauling in an insane amount of collaborations with artists like A$AP Ferg, ZHU, Lil Jon, Shaq and more, the producer continued his momentous this year with this serene rap cut.
While best known for his work in the electronic music community, blistering rap production is not unfamiliar territory for NGHTMRE. He’s previously collaborated with A$AP Ferg, Bnb Rock & Wiz Khalifa, Pell as well as remixes for Ice Cube and Smokepurpp.
Now, NGHTMRE and BLVK JVCK deliver an absolute facelift to the original record, giving it a great blend of both of their sounds. Drawing from his previous work with DJ Khaled’s team, BLVK JVCK creates electronic hybrid monster beats, a style he calls “hoodstep,” creeping in with mechanical stomps until a heavier dubstep womp unleashes at the drop. Under Gunna’s mumble rap boasts, the producer cooks up a VIP edit with enough bang for his bass stage affairs. Incorporating mass electronic elements, this rendition aims to wreak havoc amongst any dance floor.
BLVK JVCK is a fresh electronic music project stemming from one of the legendary production members of The Runners. Previously, as a producer for DJ Khaled’s team, Jermaine “Mayne Zayne” Jackson cut his teeth creating hit club records for the biggest names in music. Recently working with Flosstradamus, Jessie Reyes and H.E.R., he continues to delve into a new phase of his career.
