Regarded as one of the most distinctive and powerful acts to emerge in bass music, Noisia are praised across the entire electronic music scene for their original, emotional, and visceral musical perspective. The group has extended these notions from their own productions onto their own Division imprint, signing and developing some of the most exciting bass music artists while continuing to pay homage to their roots. Division unveils its latest meticulous curation with the release of Partial #6, a multi-tempo, multifaceted collaborative collection featuring Arigto, Mesck, no puls, HØST, and Kronodigger.
Unraveling the release is Arigto’s “Missing Mask,” a journey through heavy bass and emotional soundscapes, resulting in the creation of an entirely uncharted and forward-facing sonic universe belonging entirely to Arigto. Delving us a bit further into the compilation is Mesck’s “Acid Temple,” a thumping, jarring tightrope walk between dancefloor detonation and headphone listening that utilizes the best facets of high and low end space equally. A fitting follow up is “Drama Scene” by puls, continuing the trailblazing head bobbing personality of the release with sweeping midranges and infectious percussion. Bringing the release down to subterranean levels is HØST’s “Tortured Thru,” boasting painfully sluggy bass and expert weight, followed by the release’s culmination, “Parasyte” by Kronodigger, a perfectly disjointed and ominous way to end Partial #6.
