Following up on his stunning collab with Ecraze for NSD’s Black Friday project a few months back, the Cardiff outsider known as oddprophet rains apocalyptic fire upon the dancefloor with this massive EP for Never Say Die Black Label. From the face-melting title cut on through to the dancefloor killer known as “Watching Me,” there’s no doubting that oddprophet ain’t holding nothing back as he dials it in for the headshot.
Check the glitched-out illness of “Whipped” before dipping into the electric-bounce of “No Fun” to get a sense of how much flex this beast is holding under the covers. As oddprophet himself tells us, “This is the sound I’ve been desperate to make for years and I’m humbled to have the release alongside huge inspirations and influences of mine. The [NSD] boys in London have welcomed me down from Wales into a community that I’ve wished to be a part for years, and now it all seems so real. Waiting for this EP to finally come together has been a test of my patience and my skills, hence the final track ‘No Fun’ where things started to grind, and resisting the urge to release a track as soon as it’s finished! I’m stoked to hear what the community thinks and thank you to Black Label team for the opportunity.”
Out now so get the neck brace ready and lock yours in here.
