Since his abrupt burst onto the bass music scene, Oolacile has made his presence known with an ever-impressive series of releases. His latest on the legendary Los Angeles-based Disciple Records only serves to solidify his hold on the heavier side of the dancefloor, as his aptly titled Embers EP is guaranteed to bring on the heat.
Coming with a style that’s all his own, Oolacile never shies away from bringing his unique vision to every single track he produces, and “Bandwagon” shows exactly that. Starting off with a deep luring intro, things move right into wonky territory before “Otog” follows suit, showcasing a dark vibe with those signature glitchy synths essential to any Oolacile tune. “Space Suit” slows things down a bit, giving listeners a chance to catch their breath before the heavy basslines of “Aldiun” speed things right back up to wonky territory. Polishing off the project, “Test Lab” transcends the darkness with each glitched-out jab of mid-range bass.
