Peekaboo and G-Rex’s “Babatunde” remained an anthem in 2018, making them stand tall within the bass music scene with their innovative sound design. The two came together melting faces as the collaboration became a staple for the current state of Freeform Bass. “Babatunde” has been streamed nearly half a million times, and now, the duo have presented a massive remix EP to follow the single’s success with a series of fresh edits including a nasty rendition of the track from um…

First up is an exclusive VIP of the original from Peekaboo and G-Rex. The pair are in top form right now with G-Rex getting ready to drop a second EP and join Liquid Stranger on tour. Peekaboo spent the last year selling out shows and releasing his Hide & Seek Vol. 1 EP. Their VIP is nothing short of staggering, with its creeping intensity and cavernous drops.

The remix EP also features fresh edits from Dirt Money, who plays on rhythmical swagger and wonky riffs while Eliminate’s remix is dropping in rich, almost cinematic builds before its choppy switch up. Likewise, the brilliant TYNAN gives us eclectic sampling and sweeping, atmospheric instrumentals before Luzcid’s reworking is riddled with plunging electronic beats and low-end hums.

Still, we’re stoked to be featuring this deliciously satisfying remix from um.. who closes the remix collection with a blend of snaking bass warps and off-killer rhythms. Making music has commonly come easy for the duo who share a belief that there is a creative void in the electronic music space their music can fill. Their fun and creatively unique style of producing music definitely shows throughout the remix.

The remix package is released today on Liquid Stranger’s Wakaan label so lock yours in here.
