Featuring a mix of blistering sci-fi atmospheres and tech-driven grooves, the entire Colony EP impresses with its ability to shape the darkness with epic sound design and intricate breakbeat work that reveals a deeper dedication to craft than the typical dancefloor banger. One of our favorite tunes off the EP is the aptly titled burner “Hottah.” Conjuring visions of an otherworldly apocalyptic dreamscape, the hard and filthy synth line grinds it out while the stutter-step beats stick and move in a way that brings on that perfect mix of fear and awe.
