Just in time for the Perseid meteor shower due to sweep past Earth this coming weekend, the London-based duo known as GLXY drops this sweet and dreamy cut ahead of the full release of their Butterfly Effect EP on Soulvent Records.

Stirring up the soul-drenched feels since their debut in 2015, the pair have carved their own path to the top via imprints like Spearhead, Limitless, and Hospital. With their latest three-track EP surfacing on Soulvent, it’s obvious that the duo are at the top of their game as they link up with heads like Hugh Hardie and Visionobi for a hypnotic return to the jazz-and-soul influenced liquid vibes they seem to kick out with ease.

To get a sense of the kind of unsettled melancholia the pair are capable of check the exclusive premiere of “Cylindrical” below as the mix of crisp percussion, deep basslines, and a heart-ache vocal bring on the shivers and dancefloor shake.

It’s a deep and deadly roller that has just enough dirt in it to keep your feet grounded while your head swims to the stars and back. Out August 11 worldwide but you can cop the preorder here.
