Hard to believe it’s been two years since Mefjus and Emperor hit us with the chest-thumping Hello World EP. Originally designed to showcase each artist remixing the other, the EP quickly took on a new level of urgency when the two heavyweights decided to sweeten the deal with a pair of proper collabs. If the mere memory of that EP brings on the warm and fuzzies then hold tight as Mefjus and Emperor are back at it again with a massive 2×2 EP sure to have even your Nana up and moving.

Mefjus kicks in the afterburners on his remix of “SMPL” while Emperor drops the tech-hammer with his version of “Dissuade” before the pair join forces and unleash the funk proper on “Flashizm.” If you’ve got energy left over for more, then head straight to premiere of the title cut below as “Sanity Check” brings it all home in the most satisfying way. From its dark and cinematic intro on through to the razor-tipped drop, once the breakneck tempo unleashes a full-on neuro-apocalypse, you know that you’re witnessing Mefjus and Emperor at their very best.
