The big man ƱZ continues to reign supreme as his newly minted Quality Goods Records label delivers another knockout blow for the dancefloor in the form of Oski’s Kid Chrome EP, out today. Known for keeping things popping with a mix of hip-hop, trap, dubstep, and drum & bass, the new-school Australian producer has already caught the attention of heavyhitters like DJ Snake, Bassnectar, Dillon Francis, Bro Safari, Craze, and of course the bad man ƱZ himself.
Tapped to tour alongside ƱZ in Australia earlier this year, Oski was asked to kick down an EP for the new imprint and the results of that journey have finally arrived. From the swagged out choppage of “Super Hot” to the shivering low-slung sizzle of ‘Tell Her,” it’s obvious that Oski is firing on all cylinders. Of course, what’s an EP without a proper collab session? The aptly titled “On Fire” is just that as label mate Ian Munro and ƱZ step in to rattle the walls and trap out the proceedings with inimitable flair.
Even with all that illness, “Flex” is really where the eclectic influences that Oski’s drawing from seem to shine. Bringing on the full-on hypnotism with a cinematic intro centered on an exotic Eastern flavor, it’s when this one evolves into the tempo-shifting beast at the core that you really know what kind of talent Oski is cooking with.
Don’t just take our word for it; check the exclusive premiere of “Flex” that Oski and Quality Goods are unleashing for us below. The full Kid Chrome EP drops via Quality Goods today so make sure you lock in your own copy of this bad boy sound here.
