Having signed exclusively to Shogun Audio earlier this year, Prolix continues to hammer his way to the top with yet another jaw-dropping four-tracker that’s sure to go down as one of the most sizzling releases of the year. It’s all killer and no filler as the Friction fave “Danger” kicks in the doors before bits like “Threshold,” featuring Ben Verse on vocal duties, keep the pressure full-bore throughout. The aptly titled “Planet Smasher” with Drumsound and Bassline Smith is another favorite of ours, but when it comes to running it red, head straight to the funked out “We Do Our Thing.”

Exotic atmospheres set a dark tone for this dancefloor thriller of the highest order. When you feel the fog lifting and that percussive thunder starting to rumble and roll prepare to hit the deck; when Prolix unleashes the beast there’s no turning back. The tech-funk groove at the core keeps the bottom end shaking as dark and twisted vocal stabs and a strychnine-laced mid-range hook powers this one forward with an untouchable swagger.
