The Savage Society brand continues to strengthen itself by the day, this time via bass badboy Aweminus. Mans On Road, the Society’s sixth release of 2015, chronicles Brandon Famini’s adventures in bass music, and explores all manner of tempos.
“Nosforatune” is a bludgeoning combo of synths and bass, and stands as a nice contrast to the funky and eclectic “Colas.” Continuing the EP’s vibey experimentation, “Hyosung” conjures up extraterrestrial space-bass with plenty of depth and laser sounds to match. The title track, “Mans On Road,” keeps the groove alive with rich, steady drums and warm bass frequencies before the half-time drum & bass banger “Lost My Shit” rounds out the EP with blistering energy.
