[Premiere] Seven “Drowning”

Emerging from a background in drum & bass, Seven joined London’s burgeoning dubstep community around 2008 and soon after caught the eyes and ears of the dubstep faithful with the release of his debut, “Sirens,” on the legendary Tempa Allstars 5 compilation. Since this fateful release, Seven has released on N-Types’ Wheel & Deal imprint as well as Subway and Aquatic Lab, swiftly growing as a DJ and producer both in the London and global dubstep communities. In 2012 Seven launched his very own label, Uprise Audio, which has served as a breeding ground for many a global talent, including the likes of LSN, Feonix, Indiji, A:Grade and Juss B, to name a few. With over a hundred tracks in their back catalogue, Uprise Audio continues to make their mark as they progress from strength to strength.

The newest addition to Uprise Audio’s lineage is a full length LP from label-head Seven entitled 11:11 (UALP008). With a release date aptly set for November 11th, 11:11 has already accrued a renowned reputation, having received play support from Mala, N-Type and Bukez Finezt. Boasting wide reaching stylistic flare, uncompromising sound design and explorations of limitless musical possibilities, 11:11 makes contact with a host of musical personas while remaining true to Seven’s trademark production personality. Amidst its driving basslines, high octane flows, glistening soundscapes and charging beats, listeners will arrive at “Drowning,” the final track on Seven’s multifaceted LP. 11:11’s finale boasts throbbing low end might, crisp sonic accents and fizzling synths, as it demonstrates sophisticated, minimal power and emotional heft, a perfect culmination to Seven’s highly eclectic release.
