Andy C’s Program imprint continues to be a hotbed for pushing the deeper, darker side of the drum & bass genre. While the mothership Ram Records imprint has evolved into the more upfront and commercial side of the genre, Program seems to nurture the kind of tech-driven underground sound that the imprint and the genre were originally founded on.

With a pair of tunes that harken back to the glory days of renegade warehouse parties, Subview channels his impressive skills into crafting eerie soundscapes crackling with a kind of urgent intensity right from the start.

While “Gold Rush” brings on the heavy-metal thunder sure to have the heads jumping, “Your Choice” takes things a bit deeper with a more powerful and subtle menacing vibe breaking through. The suffocating, haunting atmosphere sets the tone from the get-go as the vocal stabs and lurching percussive elements pave the way for a crunchy mid-range bite that’s sure to leave a metallic grit in the air as the electricity pops and arcs from the speaker to your dome.
