The Ram sister imprint known as Program continues to showcase fresh talent and introduce new faces to the masses, as their latest release featuring the Slovakian duo The Prophecy can attest. Consisting of M.Bass and Ero Drummer, the neuro-driven Eastern European crew has earned their stripes in the trenches back home with their legendary four-deck mixes for festivals and club nights alike. Now that they’ve set their sights on the production game, the support is rolling in from the likes of Calyx and Teebee, Logistics, DC Breaks, June Miller and Prolix.
The name may be familiar to the die-hard, eagle-eyed Ram fans out there, as the duo first surfaced with their track “Gale” on this past year’s Ram Records Annual compilation. Stepping up with their own single on Program, the duo lock horns with fellow Slovak Changing Faces and call upon the vocal stylings of Charli Brix for the aptly titled “Winter Sunrise.”
While they’ve made a name for running it red on the tech-funk side of things, this bit proves they can flex with the best of them as this smooth liquid roller brings on the summertime shivers in the most exquisite way. Riding the fine line between the dark and the light, heavy chords and a subtly shifting melody underpins the gentle evolution of this slow-churning creature as the untouchable vocals of Charli Brix make this one an unexpected stunner.
The future is now as this one’s just hit the airwaves via Program so lock your copy in here.
