UZ’s Quality Goods imprint always delivers the freshest beats, and now has enlisted the gifted South African whiz kid Jon Casey for their latest release. Now that Jon’s Catharsis EP finally been revealed in full, we’ve had it blasting at high volume nonstop.
“Catharsis” kicks off with a delightful intro full of warm fuzzies which later drops into pure funky melodic bliss. Slug low, the featurette from fiery MC/vocalist The Oshi bangs hard with a sexy flow on “Grinding” before Jon further shows off his musicality on the creamy “Rosalind” that stuns with an easygoing pace and serene ambiance. Other notable bits off the EP include collabs from the likes of Hendrik Joerges, Dabow and AEDfx.
