The Toulouse-based RedPill has been dropping jaws since he first launched his solo project on Noisia’s Invisible imprint in mid-2016. Also known for being a member of Bl4ck Owlz, there’s no denying that the unique mix of musicality and straight-up metal-influenced aggression that Rémi Jorquera is able to craft in the studio has earned him a well-deserved slot in top tier drum and bass DJs across the board.

Whether you’re a long-time fan or just getting prepared to wrap your skull around all that RedPill has to offer, Rémi goes all on out on his latest EP for Black Sun Empire’s ever-essential Blackout imprint. Having been on an absolute tear this past year with releases on Invisible, Eatbrain, Bad Taste and C4C, his Fission EP dives deep into the tech-driven visions that continue to thrill and inspire like-minded producers and headbangers alike.

From the haunted soundscapes of “Hold It Like That” to the sinister “Jealousy” that surprises with a halftime second drop, it’s obvious that RedPill is flexing hard from the get-go. With bits like “Fission,” “Ghost in the Club” and “Show Me What You Got” pushing the cinematic envelope to the max, the dark specter of nightmare visions and percussion-driven energy merge in a brutal show of strength that begs to be experienced in the pit. Flipping things up a bit is the slow-burning dreamscape of “Rub A Sub,” a filthy heater that lights the fuse and brings on an agonizing slide towards the edge of dancefloor madness.

This one drops tomorrow so keep an eye on the socials and your favorite digital shop to cop.
