Blending heightened technological futurism with dancefloor prowess, London’s own Reso continues to concoct a densely cinematic musical universe that is distinctly of his own creation. With the release of his debut LP Tangram in 2012, Reso has since cemented himself as one of the world’s most forward thinking producers; known for a staggering output that is equally emotive and unique. Standing as a seemingly bottomless pit of musical creativity, Reso never ceases to explore new rhythmic possibilities and effortlessly intricate programming; as he combines a myriad of sounds and stimuli spanning the likes of DnB, dubstep, sci-fi, hip-hop and ambient styles, while maintaining a dynamic and intelligent structure.
Reso’s latest musical feat of intricate and genre swerving drum & bass comes in the form of his newest EP entitled Kyrios; the most recent addition to the Slug Wife collective’s catalogue, which is comprised of fellow residents Broken Note, Ffinn, Myr, Kursa and Seppa. Reso’s six track release boasts the profound musical dexterity and boundary pushing bravery that we’ve come to know of the producer, yet unveils an entirely fresh chapter of the producer’s sound. Boasting percussive attitude and jagged, abrasive midranges, Kyrios is infused with adrenaline packed beats deemed certified lethal on any dancefloor.
