Bassrush Records continues to secure its reputation as the purveyor of heavy beats from across the bass music spectrum. This time, the squad locks in a sizzling mid-summer heater from Riot Ten and EH!DE called “Applesauce” that’s designed to get the festival masses up in arms.
“Once we finished our first collab together we knew we had to go for round two,” EH!DE tells us. “On ‘Applesauce’ we wanted to keep it simple, but still maintain that hard bounce- something that would go off at our live shows. Mission accomplished.”
From the epic trance-like intro, the arpeggiated synth-line quickly gives way to a lurching stomp and winding spiral to the drop that hits the switches into some filthy wonk. From the shivering hook to the machine-gun flips, this one goes beast mode from the get go only to ease up into goosebump territory once again at the breakdown.
We can already imagine the lasers blazing and the DJ yelling for the crowd to “get those hands up” as the trance-hook cools the jets before kicking in the afterburners once again. Prepare to go buck-wild when this one drops the second time around as Riot Ten and EH!DE pack an extra punch to carry it all home.
It’s the first in a series of heavyweight happenings in Riot Ten’s world today as the single is designed to help launch the Texas native into his Hype or Die World Tour that includes a stop at Nocturnal Wonderland later this year. With direct tour support from KRIMER and an assorted medley of like-minded beasts like HE$H, Carbin, Bandlez, Fransis Derelle, SubDocta, B-Sides, Swage, and Algo on various lineups throughout the tour, the railbreaker is going all out to punish dancefloors across the globe throughout the remainder of 2018.
“I’m so proud of my team for the endless hours they spent putting together the biggest tour of my career thus far,” Riot Ten says. “It’s going to be reckless. I’m just excited to show everyone all my new visuals and break some necks along the way!”
Riot Ten and EH!DE’s “Applesauce” is out today via Bassrush Records so check it and prepare to get wrecked.
