The L.A.-based duo known as Shanks return to ProgRAM with another pair of dancefloor heaters that reaffirm their prowess in the studio. From their initial debut on the imprint, the mysterious anonymous duo has made themselves regulars on the UK-based offshoot of the legendary Ram Records and stalwarts in the burgeoning Stateside scene.
While both cuts on their latest release kick down the doors in their own ways, it’s “Jealousy” we’ve got on tap for the Bassrush family today. Opening with a subtle but intense stab, it isn’t until the vocal hook begins to swirl around it in a seductive way that we find ourselves transported to another time and place. Once we’ve been swept into the full drop, the vocal emerges from the fog and the stab take front and center as a proper Dillinja-esque beat starts hammering down the walls and brings it all home.
It’s a massive tune designed to be heard on a massive system so when you feel this one creeping in during your favorite DJs mix, prepare to watch a wave of energy unleashed upon the dancefloor when that bottom end hits. Upfront drum and bass with just the right touch of smooth vibes at the breakdown to keep you begging for more, “Jealousy” features Shanks at their best as they continue to impress and evolve their sound with each and every release.
This one’s out not on all your favorite platforms so check the Bassrush Premiere below and lock yours in here.
