After dropping the haunting stunner “Dark Places” on SSKWAN earlier this year, the Chicago-born, Los Angeles-based Sharlitz Web returns to the WAKAAN mothership with a hypnotizing ride into the dark side of the bassline on her two-track debut EP, Spider Cider.

With occult atmospheres running thick throughout, the glitch-and-bass driven bits cut straight to the heart of the dancefloor with impressive ease. The title cut brings on the goosebumps with a swerving lightning crack straight to the dome before the flip, “Ill Will”, delivers the knockout blow.

An homage to the irl sister of Sharlitz Web who passed away, Sharlitz Web’s creations are infused with a mix of melancholy and longing that elevate the tunes beyond the simple drop into deep explorations of the human spirit and all the power within.

The full Spider Cider EP drops on WAKAAN today so prepare to be caught in Sharlitz Web here.
