Many of you are probably too young to remember when jungle and hardcore rave music came in to change the face of the rave scene in the early ‘90s (the sound was groundbreaking at the time, trust). But for all the junglists looking to reminisce about how much sense the ragga basslines and rasta vocals made when paired with the hyped breakbeats, you’ve just stumbled on a gold mine. Rinse FM’s Stamina MC has done all the old-school heads a solid by uploading hundreds of buried-in-someone’s-closet-somewhere mixtapes on his Art Meets Science site. It’s stacked (and so much easier than raiding your friend’s dusty tape collection). There’s no correct place to start browsing here, as the collection contains plenty of rare offerings from the likes of Andy C, LTJ Bukem, DJ Hype, Grooverider and more. You’re probably going to be stuck on this for a while.
