The Miami-based Steller steps back into the ring with Bassrush Records and delivers a groove-driven EP just in time for the weekend.
Gathered under the umbrella of the title track, Steller’s Another Love EP is built upon a foundation of funky soul and low-slung bass that’s sure to not only rattle the walls but have some hearts skipping a beat.
Building upon her past collabs with Jinx, Jessica Audiffred, and Evaluation, the EP represents Steller’s first solo appearance on Bassrush Records and it’s a massive way to level up as each of the three tunes crystallize her wub-and-love-heavy vision of glitch-driven dubstep that rides hard on the electro-soul vibe.
The title cut in particular brings all of the elements that Steller merges together so well. As she tells us: “The scratches, funky bass and vocal samples make it feel a bit nostalgic – and then the drop kind of hits you in the face with that newer sound.”
With the entire EP serving as a manifesto of Steller’s ever-evolving sound, there’s no denying that the best is still to come from the young producer.
