While the entire six-track Swonkle Remixes EP is fire, the Tyro remix of SubDocta and Wolf-e-Wolf‘s “Champion Dub” is our go-to heater at the moment. From the rub-a-dub vibes of the intro that twist and swirl with a proper reggae-driven groove all the way through to the bubbling hook proper, Tyro proves he’s at the top of his game. Keeping the gangsta swagger of the original, Tyro takes his time in building up the energy from the get-go. As the ganja smoke begins to clear from the hypnotizing intro Tyro lets us know he not here to fuck around he dumps a wall of distorted bass on the proceedings before smashing into the tune proper. From there it’s a straight up party as Tyro brings on the dancefloor flex like a boss.
