With our ears still ringing from last Thursday night’s Datsik and Firepower takeover at Exchange LA, we can’t help but return to the scene of the crime with some heavyweight collaborative sizzle courtesy of Datsik and 1000volts. Consisting of hip-hop legend Redman and turntablist extraordinaire Jayceeoh, 1000volts not only ramped up the already hype energy that Datsik brings to the fore with this unchained beast known as “Monster” but absolutely tore down the roof of Exchange LA when both Redman and Jayceeoh surfaced as special guests to perform it live for the Bassrush masses!
While there’s no denying the tune itself is a chest-thumping head-twister in its own right, when paired with the production values of Raymond Hauserman and director Satien “Sat” Mehta, the music video version of the tune we’re showcasing below brings it all home and bridges the gap between the studio, the streets, the club, and the big screen.
