Viper Gathers Up the Squad and Prepares to Unleash ‘Bassrush 3.0’

The legendary Viper Recordings teams up with Bassrush once again as the combined crews prepare to drop another massive album compilation in the form of Bassrush 3.0. A drum and bass onslaught designed to feature top-notch talent from North America and beyond, the first glimpse at the project drops today in the form of the first of three samplers. Featuring a heavyweight remix of one of the imprint’s most recognizable tunes, newcomer Giganti from the UK goes all in on “Something Something” before handing the keys over to Los Angeles’ own Consouls and Kronology on “Like That.”

Giganti’s remix takes the original classic from 2014 and gives it a fresh coat of shine that elevates the sound of the original to new heights while breathing some fresh energy into the dancefloor along the way. Consouls and Kronology’s contribution to the cause follows up with a rich, almost sensual introduction that showcases the crew’s ability to craft cinematic dreamscapes and enticing atmospherics before wilding it out on the drop. Designed to get the dancefloor grooving and moving, the North American stalwarts serve as the perfect introduction for the international flavor still to come on the compilation album.

With label boss Futurebound promising 15 exclusive tracks, Bassrush 3.0 is already shaping up to be a future classic in its own right. This one’s out today so lock in the first sampler here and keep your eyes and ears peeled for the rest of the heavyweight compilation to follow as Part Two is set to surface on September 14 with Part Three a week later and the full album hitting the streets on September 28.
