Best known for his unique mix of melodic beats and impeccably vicious basslines, the 21-year-old phenom from Germany known as Valentin Brunn (aka Virtual Riot) offers up a bass-driven masterpiece in the form of his Machinery EP on Disciple Recordings.
“Rise of the Robots” sets things off with a heavy metal vibe laced with rugged Messinian vocals for an anticipation-fueled buildup before the bass packs in for a heavy rinseout. The title track then comes in with a melodic, almost euphoric vibe before jabbing with head-nodding bass bombs sure to get the dancefloor going hard!
“Running From the Cops” keeps the vibe alive with vocals from Armanni Reign amping up the energy proper before the bass stabs finish off the tune. Taking things down a notch to close the EP out, “Time Stops” features blissful vocals from Danyka Nadeau over a beautiful and easy dub groove.
